  • Emerson Center for the Arts

Natural Resources Defense Council, Sierra Club, and Gallatin Wildlife Association are excited to host the Wild & Scenic Film Festival at the Emerson Theater in Bozeman on Wednesday, January 21, at 6 PM. The festival features environmental and adventure films that illustrate the Earth’s beauty, the challenges facing our planet, and the work communities around the world are doing to protect the places and wildlife we love.

We are pleased to showcase the documentary Backyard produced by Bozeman filmmaker Deia Schlosberg. Backyard focuses on the fracking industry and its effects on people's lives across the country. As oil and gas development expands across Montana, the impacts of fracking are becoming increasingly relevant to Montanans. We hope you’ll join us for a panel discussion after the film to discuss how increased oil and gas development in Montana could affect local communities.

Doors open at 5 PM and the screenings, beer, and snacks are FREE! We also have some great raffle prizes from local businesses! We hope to see you January 21 at the Emerson!
